my music

Welcome

I'm Toni, aka Tonial, currently studying MultiMediaArt with focus on Audio at the university of applied sciences in Salzburg. In my projects I love to use live recordings to combine them with digital synthesis and processing to create or support stories that take listeners on emotional journeys.

works

strides

This piece works with just harp and voice recordings, processed in different ways. It takes the listener on a meditational walk, exploring sound and themes through different rhythms and keys.

Doom's embrace

This track captures the journey of a final fight. The music evolves alongside the tension, capturing the build-up, the battle, and the final moments of the conflict.

Determania

This industrial/cyberpunk-inspired track combines synthesizers and harp, creating a journey through darkness and light. The contrast between the electronic beats and the harp’s melodic tones builds a unique atmosphere of tension and contrast.

aelura

This song marks my first fully performable piece combining harp and voice, originally sparked from an improvisation during Christmas 2022. After countless performances and refinements, it was finally recorded in October 2024. The song carries a mystic, calming essence, yet retains a dynamic quality that evolves throughout.

Strich durchs Leben

This short film tells the story of a young woman wanting to be an artist until her dreams fall apart.

evade the forest gnomes

This soundtrack for a mini game takes the player into a dark forest, where they try to avoid playful magical gnomes. The music creates a animated atmosphere that complements the game's adventurous feel.

Määähdrescher

I created these two tracks during a 48-hour game jam, where I worked on a simple game featuring sheep. It was a fun and fast-paced experience, combining creativity with the challenge of producing music in a short amount of time.

labrat

This is the mainmenu soundtrack for the game "lab rat", in which the player has to escape the evil scientist, by solving puzzles in his lab. The soundtrack illustrates the gamesetting by using a gloomy Violin and Cello theme and ingame soundeffects, especially a ticking clock, which hints to the solution.

The world he lives in

This composition for choir and harp tells the story of a man growing up in sheltered circumstances, learning egoistic behavior from his environment, only to regret it at the end of his life when he sees the consequences it has on his grandson. I had the honor of composing this piece for my school choir and performing it with them during my final year.

HarpI’ve been playing my favorite instrument since 2017, and it’s become a true source of creativity for me. I love performing and expressing myself through it, whether it’s in practice or on stage.

Set-soundI’ve had the chance to be part of the sound team on student and professional sets, and I really enjoy the energy on set. It’s exciting to be surrounded by creative minds, all working together to bring a project to life.

ChoirBeing part of choirs has always been a big part of my journey. After practicing and performing with my school choir, I developed a deep passion for choir leading, which inspired me to start one at my university.

Music-productionFor me, music production is a creative outlet and a constant learning experience. Since starting in 2019, I’ve explored Reaper, Ableton, FL Studio and Cubase, shaping my ideas into sound and refining my craft along the way.
